Hello sweet friend! I’m Lydia, and here’s a little bit about me…
I’m 15 years old, and I live with my parents and four younger siblings in the beautiful state of California.
I have a passion for music (I currently play piano and sing), writing, and unashamedly; Jane Austen. By now you also probably know that I’m a Christian (I’m equally unashamed about that!).
Not surprisingly, I love shopping, a warm cup of tea, and time with my friends. I have my share of embarrassing stories, thousand of priceless memories, and an imagination that keeps my dreams alive!
One of my biggest fears is the thought of looking back at the end of my life and realizing that I didn’t make the most of my time on earth. The last thing I want to do is waste all these amazing opportunities that I’ve been given. I want to bring God glory through my life. I hope to one day stand at the gates of Heaven and have Christ welcome me with arms stretched wide. I want Him to say “Well done my good and faithful servant.”
With that in mind, I have more recently been inspired to live each day like it’s my last, and make a constant effort to fall more in love with my Father in Heaven.
It was that desire to make an impact and use my opportunities for their full potential which became spark that started this blog.
If you poke around on here, you will very quickly see that I want this to be a community for young ladies like myself, who not only have a strong desire to grow in their relationship with Christ, but who want to be a radiant light in this world shrouded in darkness. I want the things I write to help you fall completely in love with God, and be empowered by His boldness, so that you can grow into women who live life to your God-given potential.
I want to be that oh-so-hard-to-find friend who encourages you to be the best YOU you can be.
The best part (for me anyways) is that I will get to grow alongside you. My hope is that this blog will push me to step out in faith, dig into scripture, and grow in my walk with God. And, since a majority of my posts will be based on issues I’ve had to deal with, I will get the benefit of going to God first and seeking His wisdom in the issues I’m facing. 🙂
Obviously I cannot do all of this on my own though. The Holy Spirit must be the One at work, directing not only the things I write about, but the way that my words touch your life. My hope is that somehow I am used to empower, inspire, and listen to you as we grow together as Daughters of the King.
So grab a cup of tea, find a cozy spot, and forget about all of the other distractions and chaos. Let’s chat about our amazing God, and leave these moments encouraged to be His radiant lights.
